Lisa Spencer - Board Member

I was born in Detroit and lived in Chicago for 25 years. I landed in Pennsylvania in 2009. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Radiation Therapy Technology and a Master’s degree of Adult Education. I also hold certifications in Radiation Therapy, Breast Imaging Navigation, Oncology Navigation and Mastectomy Fitting. In 2011, I began working at Penn State Health – St Joseph as the Breast Care Patient Navigator. I have been an active volunteer with BCSS since 2012 and was Board President from 2015 to 2020, returning to the board in 2022.

I choose to volunteer with BCSS as I work with Breast Cancer patients every day as the Breast Care Patient Navigator and feel very connected to the community. I have MANY family members with breast and ovarian cancer. I am a lymphoma survivor so I also understand the journey! My patients and family inspire me every day.

On March 20, 2024, at the 14th annual Women’s Hall of Fame Luncheon & Awards Celebration Honoring Outstanding Women of Lebanon County, Lisa was inducted into the Lebanon County Women’s Hall of Fame recognized for her many years of dedication and service promoting healthcare.
