Michele Reinert, CFRE - Executive Director

I am currently the Executive Director here at BCSS, joining the team in March of 2020. I am a proud Honors graduate of Albright College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I have been in the non-profit sector since 2008 and earned my CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) credentials in 2014. In 2016, I was named the Outstanding Fundraising Executive in Berks County by the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. I previously served on the Chamber Ambassador Committee for 11 years, the Berks AFP Chapter Board, and on the Board of Directors for the Clare of Assisi House. 

I reside in Bernville with my husband Brad and our three fur kids Maddox, Jasper and Gunnar. I am the very proud mother of one son, Alec and a beautiful granddaughter, Jordis, and handsome grandson Declan. 

I chose to work for BCSS after having lost both of my parents, far too young, from different types of cancer. There was no organization like this for me to turn to for support and hope as an only child caring for both parents going through cancer at the same time. I am inspired everyday by the individuals that we serve during their journey. Knowing that everything that we do makes a difference in their life, as well as their family members and caregivers is healing for me as well.  

Fun Facts:
  • The fictional place Michele would most like to visit is King's Landing (Game of Thrones).
  • The trend that Michele hopes to make a comeback is 80's hair (Even though Aqua Net isn't what it used to be)!
